  His Story
Wilson David Thomas was born on 23rd February 1912 in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He died as a Prisoner of War (POW) in Tanoura, on the island of Kyushu, Japan, on 15th March 1944.
He was 32 years old.

This web site is a record of his life, his death, and the legacy he leaves.

It is also intended as a personal history record of the war in the Far East. UK records of this war are scant, and the little we do know is presented here partly to act as a signpost to others who may pass this way seeking to discover more of their own family history.

This site is presented by his Grandson, who he never met, and by his Daughter, who was only six months old when he left to fight a war, from which he never returned.
